    Screens

«Light is not so much something that reveals, as it is itself the revelation.»
    James Turrell

Authored images for screens and spaces

A screen switched off is a black wall. Switched on, it can become the light of a square or the last image a traveller sees before leaving.

We design content for LED walls, shop windows and installations. We study proportions, light, distance and viewing time, then build an image for that place. We work with brands, institutions and the partners who make and install screens.

fuse* and Quayola are among the artists of Ipotesi Metaverso, the 2023 exhibition curated by Gabriele Simongini and Serena Tabacchi, whose production was managed by the studio.

    The walls

At Fiumicino, the works for TIM with Victoria De Angelis and Marcell Jacobs were designed for the terminal surfaces. In Times Square, Theatrum Mundi links four LED panels. Each surface calls for its own composition and pace.

    How we work

    1. 01

      Survey

We record measurements, light, viewing distance and how people move through the place. «In Times Square it was four LED panels, seen from the street».

    2. 02

      Visual direction

We define the idea and the relationship between image, place and the aim of the project.

    3. 03

      Production

We make the photographic and video material and develop the planned digital components. FOTOSINTESI brings live footage and AI together when the work calls for it.

    4. 04

      Formats

We compose the versions for each surface and check them with the technical partner. «In Verona the same image moved from posters to the city’s screens».

    5. 05

      System and updates

For responsive projects we define inputs, rules and how the image behaves. We agree any updates and new content.

Every work for a screen begins with a site visit and a conversation with the studio.
